I want to become a professor, have my own garden, host students every other week for international meals, and travel around the world monthly for work and exploration.

How has research influenced you?

I become more organized, careful and better at dealing with stress. Doing research involves synthesing big volume of research papers for literature review and writing reference, which requires structured and clean note-taking. Moreover, it is stressful to use my brain intensively for 8 hours a day (during my summer research in 2025), so I learn to allocate my energy and tasks so that I can still work but not burn out.

What do I think about Prof Yu?

Professor Yu is a teacher, a guider and a friend. I think the time she taught us was more than the time we helped her in research. Besides research, she gave me advice about my studying, my career path and even life after graduation. She is friendly and close like a friend to us. We shared our lives, our fun plans and we cooked, hanged out together.
